SIOTS provided comprehensive IOT&A services to the 422d Medical Squadron as part of the RAF Croughton Medical-Dental Clinic replacement project. The new facility replaced a structure that was originally built as a dormitory in 1959 and did not meet modern medical standards.

 

The new clinic provides a patient and family centered environment which offers the same clinical services, but in a larger, modernized footprint that enhances the delivery of high-quality healthcare to the RAF Croughton community.

 

SIOTS provided project management, transition planning, comprehensive interior design, FF&E selection, procurement, and installation, public relations and media support, artwork, limited LVS, and international shipping logistics services under this contract.

Kirtland AFB Medical Clinic Renovation

SIOTS provided IOT&A services for a $16.9M renovation project which modernized 17 departments, 4 floors, and approximately 81,000 SF of the 377th Medical Group.

 

Our team utilized a Temporary Phasing Facility (TPF) and internal swing spaces to successfully accomplish renovations without closing the clinic during normal business hours. SIOTS utilized a 5-phase transition plan to relocate each department from their existing footprint, to a temporary location, and back into their renovated spaces without disrupting services.

 

This project rounded out a 20-year master plan that brought the clinic and its operations into the 21st century. Design efforts included creating healing interiors with updated FF&E and the flexibility to accommodate future layout changes and technology improvements. Upgrades to clinic interiors and reception areas improved staff productivity and refreshed the outdated aesthetic of the building.

Naval Health Clinic Hawaii, Medical-Dental Clinic Replacement

SIOTS provided IOT&A services for the Medical-Dental Clinic replacement located at the Marine Corps Base (MCB) Hawaii. The new facility consolidated 5 outdated provider locations into a single, 2-story state-of-the-art facility.

 

This project included planning and coordinating FF&E acquisition and installation services to support the transition and integration of medical services from MCB Hawaii Branch Health Clinic (BHC), 21st Dental Battalion, Regimental Aid Station, CLB3 Aid Station, and Wing Flight Line Clinic into the new facility.


SIOTS orchestrated the relocation of equipment and commodities from existing locations at BHC to support the consolidation of clinical services into the new clinic. Additionally, SIOTS provided disposition services to support the transfer of residual equipment and furnishings to the Defense Logistics Agency located at Pearl Harbor.

Holloman AFB Medical Clinic Replacement

SIOTS provided comprehensive IOT&A services to the 49th Medical Group as part of the $52M Holloman AFB Medical Clinic replacement project. The new clinic replaced a 44-year-old facility by consolidating 5 outlying buildings into a single 2-story location.

 

SIOTS conducted a complete inventory of existing furniture and equipment to ensure the effective integration of reuse items throughout the new building. Our interior designers prepared comprehensive CID and artwork packages for the clinic. Evidence-based design principles, best practices for infection control, durability, archival considerations, safety, and security were also considered during the specification and installation of all commodities.

 

SIOTS’ BMET team provided on-site safety and performance testing for all equipment prior to installation. Our team supervised final product installation and facilitated FF&E training with the 49th Medical Group staff. The Holloman AFB Medical Clinic replacement project earned LEED® Silver certification.

U.S. Army Blood Processing Center

SIOTS provided concurrent IOT&A services for 3 new Army Blood Processing Center projects. The facilities were specifically designed and built to support the collection, processing, and shipment of blood products to military treatment facilities throughout the United States and abroad.

 

SIOTS supplied a wide variety of medical, non-medical, and IT equipment, as well as furniture, casework, CCTV, temperature monitoring, and other systems. Our team successfully transitioned staff members into each new facility without delays.

 

While the 3 projects shared the same core mission and functions, allowing for synergies and standardization, each location also presented unique requirements and challenges that required our team’s creative thinking, expertise, and ability to work with key stakeholders.

 

SIOTS overcame the impacts of construction delays, joint occupancy issues during outfitting, COVID-19, and supply chain disruptions to complete the projects in just over 2.5 years with extremely high customer satisfaction. The new facilities, coupled with the nearly 100% replacement of equipment, greatly enhanced each unit’s operational capabilities.

U.S. Naval Academy Annapolis, Health Clinic Replacement

SIOTS provided comprehensive IOT&A services for the $41M, 3-story medical facility replacement, at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis. SIOTS conducted multiple rounds of user meetings to confirm and refine the commodities requested in the Navy’s CID package.

 

A comprehensive inventory of FF&E was performed to identify reuse potential and establish facility standards. Workflow and function were reviewed to ensure the optimal  placement of furniture and equipment within each department. Medical equipment planning services included a broad range of departments and administrative support areas.

 

SIOTS successfully procured, installed, and relocated 181 staff members and 20,000 HIPAA-sensitive records throughout the course of this project.
